Global Warming Topic

Global Warming has been a topic of discussion for over 20 years now.  There have been individuals and companies who have made millions of dollars because of Global Warming.  Al Gore screamed at the top of his lungs about Global Warming yet the foot print he was leaving showed that he didn’t practice what he preached.  There have been reports prepared and completed by scientists stating that there was evidence that Global Warming is a fact.  What you must remember is that these scientists were paid to complete these reports.  At the same time there have been reports by scientists debunking the global warming reports.  The media having its own agenda, for years, continued to bash anyone who spoke against Global Warming.

Is this Global Warming?

2011 Dallas Texas Snow Storm

What most people know is that there was a great flood which has been reported in bibles and folklore from cultures around the world, from the Middle East to the Americas, from India to China and Southern Asia to name a few.  The ancient Babylonians, the Greeks and Romans and American Indians all have tales of a great flood and people and animals taking shelter in a boat/arc.  We also have tales of tsunamis, volcanoes erupting, freezing winters and droughts and we have la niña and el niño.

Polar Ice Cap

In his 2007 Noble Prize acceptance speech, Al Gore warned that the “Arctic ice could be gone in as little as seven years.”  In 2015 the Arctic radar map which shows the Arctic Ice Cap at more than 4,000,000 square miles, larger than on any December 28 in the past five years. It is also reported that the Antarctic ice coverage is at the highest extent since radar measurement began 35 years ago.  We can with certainty say that Al Gore 2007 statement has been de-bunked but there are still those who are yelling as loud as they can that there is Global Warming.

Is there Global Warming or are there weather cycles????  Not wanting to be a nay sayer but also not wanting to be led by the pied piper I began to do my own research and this is what I have found…

Doing my own research I have found:

… that standardize weather records only began being kept in 1914; when your weatherperson says this is (for example) the 5th hottest day on record.  That means that it is the 5th hottest day since 1914 not since the begging of time.

We have been tracking and observing weather in the United States since the mid 1850’s.  Standardize weather records began in 1914 but there are diaries that amateur meteorologist have been keeping since the 1600s.  Is the weatherperson’s report correct when they say “the 5th hottest day on record”?  Yes, because they say the words “on record”.  The problem is that the majority of people do not realize that the record is only 103 years old.

The first bases on the Antarctic was established in 1903. Not much was done in the Antarctic for the next 40 years.  Click her for a list of research stations.  This list shows which country operates the research station and when they were established.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Centers for Environmental Information:

The NOAA has published a number of reports regarding Global Warming and now we are hearing that some of those reports may contain misleading or false data.  The NOAA was founded on October 3, 1970 under the Department of Commerce.  It’s purpose was for the better protection of life and property from natural hazards, for the better understanding of the total environment…

Who has profited from Global Warming?

AL GORE: Gore and the former chief of Goldman Sachs Asset Management made nearly $218 million in profits between 2008 and 2011 from a carbon trading company they co-founded. By 2008, Gore was able to put a whopping $35 million into hedge funds and other investments. Gore also has a remarkable record of investing in companies right before they get huge grants from the government.

ELON MUSK: This billionaire chairs a number of companies, such as Tesla Motors and SolarCity, which rake in billions in federal green energy subsidies. In 2014, Musk received $1.4 billion from Nevada taxpayers to build a “gigafactory” for his electric car company Tesla Motors. SolarCity also got a large payout to move to Nevada. Musk helped found SolarCity and still serves as its chairman. When Nevada changed the way it subsidized solar power in a way that didn’t favor Musk or SolarCity, the company pulled out of of the state. Tesla also sells lithium ion-battery Powerwalls for a mere $7,340 to store electricity for homes. The original intention of a Powerwall was to make rooftop solar panels economically viable for consumers. Powerwalls are estimated to take approximately 40 years to pay for themselves. Naturally, Tesla only offers five to 10 year warranties and predicts they will last for only 15 years.

WARREN BUFFETT: has invested a great deal in electrical utilities, such as NV Energy, and has also taken advantage of lucrative green energy. Buffett’s company Berkshire Hathaway Energy has invested up to $30 billion into green energy sources.

VINOD KHOSLA: Khosla has spent a lot of money investing in ethanol, which is heavily dependent on a federal mandate requiring gasoline sold in the U.S. contain a certain amount of ethanol. Ethanol tax credits are estimated to have cost the federal government up to $40 billion between 1978 and 2012, according to The National Review.  Khosla was heavily invested in the ethanol company KiOR, even talking the company up during an interview with 60 Minutes. KiOR went bankrupt in November 2014 and devastated the state of Mississippi, which had given KiOR a $75 million, 20-year, no-interest loan after Khosla assured the state that he would build facilities worth $500 million that would create 1,000 jobs.

JAMES CAMERON:  Film director James Cameron has also profited immensely off environmentalism and holds a long history being green, even claiming that “[w]e need to mobilize like we did during World War II” to fight global warming.  When asked about scientists who were skeptical of global warming, Cameron claimed “I want to call those deniers out into the street at high noon and shoot it out with those boneheads. Anybody that is a global-warming denier at this point in time has got their head so deeply up their a** I’m not sure they could hear me.”  The environmentally-themed film “Avatar” netted Cameron over $650 million, making him one of the richest directors of all time with an estimated net worth of $700 million.

Is there Global Warming???

Doesn’t look that way.  Do we need to respect our planet definitely.  Should we stop using as many chemical probably.  Should be go back to the recycling of the 1950’s, glass bottles being saved and returned and reused; paper trash bags being used to cover books and for our trash, etc…, definitely
